Established in 1973,the unit
was acquired by the Adamjee Group in 1986 and later renamed to Adamjee Pharmaceuticals
(Pvt.) Ltd. in 1988.
The manufacturing facilities are located at Korangi Industrial Area, Karachi. It is
equipped to manufacture tablets, capsules, liquids, injections, dry syrups, ointments,
creams and gels under strict G.M.P. conditions. The factory employs over 100 persons
with qualified staff operating the production, quality assurance and maintenance
departments.
A.P.L. is manufacturing and marketing a variety of branded medicines including anti-biotic,
analgesics, anti-histamines, anti-tuberculosants, anti-helmentics, anti-spasmodics,
anti-inflammatories, anti-depressants, anti-ulcerants, vitamins and mineral preparations.
Besides having its own Product range, A.P.L. has licence to market products from
the following multinational companies:-
A comprehensive marketing and distribution
setup allows the company to adequately market its wide range of products. Within
a short span of time, A.P.L. has successfully tapped the export market and exports
its medicines to Africa, Burma, and Bangladesh.
