Established in 1987, the Company is engaged in mining operations in Baluchistan and the North West Frontier Province of Pakistan for extraction of chrome ore and high grade metallurgical and refractory ores. These minerals are then marketed domestically as well as exported to China and Europe. In 1995, Coastal diversified into mining of manganese and dolomite ores as well.
Coastal has also invested in mining leases.
Coastal is also operating an agency which represents foreign companies and imports ferro alloys and Ferrous, and, non-ferrous metals into Pakistan.
